From now until May 27th, visit the Foothills Arts Council for ArtReach East where work from Davie, Forsyth and Stokes counties are on exhibit. Foothills Arts Council exhibits are free and open to the public Thursday through Saturday, noon to 6 pm.

Angry Troll Brewery held its grand opening Friday, April 7th. The brewery and restaurant is located in The Liberty in downtown Elkin.

A group out of Charlotte has purchased the old Chatham Manufacturing facility located in downtown Elkin. The new owners intend to renovate and lease buildings that can be salvaged and demolish buildings that cannot be saved and reused.
